Now more than ever, charities and non-profits are playing a key role in addressing persistent and complex social problems faced by all communities. This $400 million dollar investment from the Government of Canada responds to what Community Service Organizations need right now. The Community Services Recovery Fund supports organizations as they adapt to the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue serving their communities. 

Community service organizations across the country are implementing important and necessary solutions to adapt, modernize and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic in order to continue their critical work of supporting people in their communities. Projects will be finished by June 2024, but the impact of the Community Services Recovery Fund extends towards the future. Almost 5,500 Community Service Organizations from coast to coast to coast have received funding to build their organizational capacity and adapt for COVID-19 pandemic recovery.
